STCC awarded $1.1M grant to enhance STEM education in Springfield public schools

The National Science Foundation awarded a four-year, $1,108,984 grant to Springfield Technical Community College to enhance science, technology, engineering and mathematics education in Springfield Public Schools, U.S. Rep. Richard E. Neal, D-Springfield, announced today.

STCC hosts biotechnology high school teacher training

This summer marked the third year STCC has hosted the Amgen Biotech Experience, a science education program that empowers teachers to bring biotechnology to their classrooms. The program – offered through the Life Sciences Outreach Program at Harvard University – provides teacher professional development, curriculum materials, biotechnology equipment, and supplies to secondary schools.
