Program Description
This applied training covers everything you need to know to inspect your first part on a Ziess CMM. Avoid distractions by traveling to STCC for an intensive 3-day training in our state-of-the-art CMM lab (built in 2020). Our lab houses 5 Zeiss Duramax CMMs equipped with probe changers, star probes, and Calypso software. A full complement of precision hand gauges and tools for inspecting Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances are available to validate CMM results.
Topics include:
- Run turnkeyed programs
- Interpret dimension reports
- Run production inspection and sort conforming and nonconforming parts
- Verify CMM results with manual gauges
- How to balloon drawings
- Standard fixtures for a variety of part shapes and sizes
- Manual and automatic alignments
- Probe building and calibration
- Write CMM programs from scratch
- Best practices for precision measurement
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

Refund Policy
Withdraw prior to the start of class* - 100% Refund
No Refunds will be given once class begins
In the absence of a written third party contractual agreement stating otherwise, all refunds will be issued to the student. Credit card payments will be refunded directly to the credit card if processed within thirty days of the payment.
Course Cancellation Policy
The STCC Workforce Training office reserves the right to cancel any course that does not meet minimum enrollment requirements.
