Financial Benefits
All TRIO SSS services are FREE as long as you meet the required qualification(s) and are accepted into the program! In addition to providing free services, TRIO SSS can help you financially with the services below.
Free Software
Eligible TRIO SSS participants may receive free Math software codes (My Math Lab, Connect Access for Statistics, etc.) while taking STCC math courses!
Scholarships
TRIO SSS participants who are receiving a Federal Pell Grant are eligible to apply and/or be nominated by their TRIO Counselor to receive a one-time TRIO SSS Grant Aid Scholarship.
Participants must demonstrate their participation in program activities through attendance at TRIO events (orientation, workshops), use of TRIO counselors, and/or use of TRIO tutoring. Scholarship recipients are often in their first or second years of attendance at STCC. We also help TRIO participants locate and apply for institutional and external scholarships.
