I visited STCC and immediately felt at home. The campus is very diverse, and many students work full time after attending classes in the morning.
“I was born in Puerto Rico and moved to the United States when I was five years old. After graduating from high school, I worked a variety of jobs. One of my friends was attending STCC, majoring in Laser Electro-Optics Technology. He really talked it up to me. He told me how great the professors were, particularly Dr. Massa.
I visited STCC and immediately felt at home. The campus is very diverse, and many students work full time after attending classes in the morning. I was accepted into the Laser Electro-Optics Technology program and just finished my first year. In the Laser program the classes are small, all the work is hands on, and we work together on projects as a team.
Dr. Massa is laid back, patient, and walks us through all the processes in a detailed and organized way. He is well known in the industry and provides us all with internship opportunities. After graduating, and going on for my bachelor’s degree, I would love to some day become a college professor. STCC gave me possibilities, and that’s a wonderful gift.” Alex Sahib Rivera
