Tina Keesee, a Product Manager at Mestek in Westfield, MA, knew that in order to advance in the predominantly male field of energy systems, increasing her technical knowledge would be a key asset. Already possessing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Tina turned to STCC’s Energy Systems Technology program to gain the additional expertise she needed. “I spent four years taking two classes a semester during the evening. I remember walking into my first class. I was the only female student in the class, but as the semester progressed, my classmates quickly gained respect for my industry knowledge. I don’t know where else I could have gained the specific career skills I needed in a hands-on lab environment with such exceptional support from my professors. My STCC education made me grow as a professional and increased my technical knowledge exponentially.”
