COVID-19 Update

Dear STCC Community,

President Cook advised the STCC Community in an email on March 2, 2023, that the Massachusetts community colleges are lifting the COVID-19 vaccine requirements at the conclusion of final exams of the Spring 2023 Semester. Accordingly, and effective immediately, employees no longer need to provide proof of vaccination. Certain groups of employees may, however, be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of their clinical or external placements.

In addition, employees do not need to contact the COVID-19 Case Manager if they test positive for COVID-19, are experiencing symptoms, or are a close contact. Instead, employees should exercise responsibility and consideration just like with any communicable illness or sickness. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions section found on the STCC website. In accordance with state and federal guidelines, we recommend employees refer to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health websites:

As always, employees and supervisors are encouraged to contact Human Resources if an employee calls out sick for an extended period of time, either due to COVID-19 or any other communicable illness or sickness, to ensure the employee receives any needed support and/or services.

Please contact Human Resources at hr@stcc.edu with any questions.

Thank you for all that you have done and will continue to do to keep yourselves, your colleagues and our campus community safe.

Sincerely,
Jonathan Tudryn
Assistant Vice President of Administration & Controller
