Smoking is prohibited everywhere on the STCC campus, including indoors, on the grounds, and with external parking lots, except in private vehicles.
Related, it is understood that for the purpose of this policy smoking includes any and all burning of tobacco; use of any smoking or vaping equipment; and includes but is not limited to cigarettes, cigars, pipes, e-cigarettes, or vaporizers.

1. Is smoking permitted anywhere on campus?
No. There are no designated smoking areas on campus. Smoking is prohibited everywhere on the STCC campus, including indoors, on the grounds, and in external parking lots. The only exception is within private vehicles.
2. Does the policy cover all forms of tobacco and smoking devices?
Yes, the policy covers all forms and uses of tobacco, as well as the use of any smoking or vaping equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, cigarettes, cigars, pipes, e-cigarettes, chewing products, and vaporizers.
3. How will the policy be enforced?
Enforcement of the policy is primarily based on self-governance. It is everyone’s responsibility as a campus community member to comply with this policy in a respectful and courteous manner.
4. May I smoke in my car on campus?
Yes, smoking is permitted within private vehicles on campus, with the expectation that smoke will be contained within the closed vehicle
