- Complete Admissions Application
Prior to completing the Admissions Application, please contact the Admissions Office at 413-755-3333 to determine your student status. Below is a listing of student status types:
- Active student status, no holds and do not want to change your major
You are all set to register! Stop by the Academic Advising and Transfer Center in Building 19, room 232 for assistance. - Active student status: Students who have attended classes at STCC within the past two and a half years and want to change their program
You will need to process a change of major request. Go to the Change of Major page to complete the request online. Refer to your acceptance letter from Registrars for information on registering for classes. - Inactive student status: Students who have not attended classes at STCC within the past two and a half years
You will need to reapply to STCC. Complete the online admissions application. Refer to your acceptance email from Admissions for information related to enrolling for classes.
Fresh Start: If you have been separated from the college for two years or more and at the time you left your overall GPA was below 2.0, you may qualify for Fresh Start. For more information, go to Academic Forgiveness (Fresh Start) Policy or contact the Admissions Office. To apply for a fresh start, complete the Fresh Start Form and submit to the Admissions Office.
Transfer Credits: Refer to Admissions Policies for information on the Transfer Credit Policy including transferring in developmental coursework from other western Massachusetts community colleges.

- Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Student Financial Aid) if you need financial assistance to pay for College

It is strongly recommended that you complete your FAFSA by the Priority Date May 1st to avoid delays in:
- Receiving the maximum amount of aid for which you are eligible
- Receiving an STCC virtual parking permit
- Receiving a Bookstore Voucher
If your FAFSA is not complete or submitted, you may risk not being able to attend college unless you have other means to pay for your classes.

- Contact the Office of Disability Services, if Needed

- Complete/Submit CORI/SORI Forms (if applicable)
Must be completed if enrolled in School of Health and Patient Simulation programs or the Early Childhood Education program. To see a full listing of programs and whether the CORI/SORI is required go to Health Services.

- Submit Health Forms
For more information on what forms you need based on whether you are a full-time (enrolled in 12 or more credits) or part-time (enrolled in 11 credits or less) student and your academic program, go to Health Services.

- Take Placement Test (Photo ID Required)
If needed, stop by the testing and assessment center to take your placement exam. For more information go to Placement Assessments.

- Register for Classes
Refer to your acceptance package for details about registration for classes.

- Log in to STCCNET Student Portal and Email Account
Once you have registered for classes, you will receive a letter in the mail within 2 weeks with your email address. For technical support, if you have forgotten your login information for both your email and WebAdvisor accounts, contact the Student Help Desk at (413) 755-4016 o email usersupport@stcc.edu .
- Get Your RAM Card (Student ID)
If you already have a RamCard you can continue to use it. If you have lost your RamCard since your last time of attendance, you can get another one.
To get your RamCard:
- A valid state or government-issued photo identification such as a driver's license or passport must be presented at the time your RamCard photo is taken and when RamCards are picked up (the college cannot accept permits for a Ramcard as these are not valid for identification).
- Students must be registered for classes.
Please note that it takes approximately one hour for the registration system to relay student information to the RamCard database so students will become eligible to have their RamCard picture taken about one hour after they register (during RamCard business hours).

- Waive Your Health Insurance
For information about STCC student health insurance plans and step-by-step instructions on how to waive your health insurance, go to Health Insurance Information.

- Verify Financial Aid Award or Arrange To Pay For Classes
Pay your bill or set up a payment plan online through your STCCNet Student Portal account by the payment due date. If your bill is not paid or a payment arrangement has not been set up, you may risk losing your class schedule. Go to Billing Information to see the schedule of payment due dates, acceptable payment arrangements and payment methods.

- Apply For a Virtual Parking Permit or Bus Pass
To apply for a virtual parking permit or bus pass, payment arrangements must be in place, either; classes paid in full, a payment plan set-up or financial aid file complete.
Go to Parking and Transportation for information on requesting a virtual parking permit or bus pass.

- Buy or Rent Your Books
