Workforce Development Center at STCC offers accelerated 5 Axis CNC mill training
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Workforce Development Center at Springfield Technical Community College is offering an accelerated 5-axis CNC mill training.
This applied training encompasses everything students need to know to make their first part on a five-access CNC mill.
The training, which consists of 24 classroom hours, takes place at the state-of-the-art manufacturing lab in Springfield Technology Park, across the street from STCC, on March 12, 13, and 14 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Training highlights include the opportunity to:
- Use hands-on machine setup (fixtures, tooling and more);
- Cut example parts on a Haas VF2 with a Trunnion table;
- Use Vericut machine simulation with collision detection; and
- Obtain an overview of longhand CNC programming and CAM programming.
A certificate of completion will be provided. The fee is $975, which includes training materials and lunch.
