STCC’s Marketing and Communications team wins 4 awards at conference
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Springfield Technical Community College again brought home awards from the District 1 conference of the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations held in Boston Nov. 2-4.
The STCC Marketing and Communications Department won four “2023 Medallion Awards” for outstanding work in the categories of Digital Advertisement (one silver), Social Media (two bronze) and Writing (one bronze).
“Congratulations to the Marketing and Communications team,” said Dr. Lillian Ortiz, interim assistant vice president of advancement at STCC. “I’m proud that our peers at community colleges across the district recognized their excellent work. The team stays focused on telling the stories of STCC and tying the message to our strategic plan and mission.”
The Marketing and Communications Department includes Eli Freund, director of Marketing and Communications; Jim Danko, assistant director of Communications; Louis Burgos, Digital and Social Media manager; and graphics designer Sherry Hanks.
STCC won the silver for Digital Advertisement (from transactional to storytelling ads), bronze for Social Media Page (Instagram), bronze for Social Media Post (Love Story February Campaign), bronze for Excellence in Writing – Short Form (STCC provides a transformative experience for 2023 Dental Hygiene graduate).
This is the third year in a row STCC has won medals at the District 1 conference. District 1 comprises Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Quebec, and the United Kingdom.
