STCC’s Fall 2 term begins Oct. 27
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Interested in classes at Springfield Technical Community College? The Fall Session 2 begins Oct. 27, and runs for seven weeks.
The college will offer in-person, online and hybrid classes during the accelerated flex term. At seven weeks, the terms are half as long as the traditional 14-week semester. This means students can complete two courses in the time it takes to finish one traditional course.
The college offers a variety of classes during the Fall 2 term, including subjects ranging from behavioral sciences to business and general education. STCC offers history, early childhood education, health prerequisites and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) classes.
STCC Assistant Dean of Student Initiatives Dr. Kiyota Garcia said there are a number of reasons why students may want to start classes on Oct. 27.
“Our fall semester began Sept. 7, but we realize some students might not have been ready to start at that time. The later start option gives them the flexibility they might need,” Garcia said.
