STCC to host town hall veterans’ event on Wednesday, Dec. 11
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Springfield Technical Community College will host the HERO Act Roadshow, a statewide initiative aimed at educating veterans about the most comprehensive veterans legislation in Massachusetts history.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 11, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., in partnership with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Veterans Services. This one-hour presentation will include a detailed overview of the HERO Act, followed by a question-and-answer session.
The event at the Scibelli Hall (Building 2) auditorium is open to all Massachusetts veterans and their families.
The HERO Act – officially titled An Act Honoring, Empowering, and Recognizing Our Servicemembers and Veterans – introduces more than 30 spending and policy initiatives designed to expand benefits, promote inclusion, modernize veterans’ services and honor the contributions of veterans.
