STCC to host press conference announcing $300,000 grant
Federal funding will be used to create campus safety, empowerment program
WHAT: Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) invites members of the media to attend a press conference announcing a three-year, $300,000 grant from the U.S. Office on Violence Against Women in the U.S. Department of Justice. The grant awarded to STCC will be used to enhance victim services, implement prevention and education programs and develop and strengthen campus security and investigations to prevent, prosecute and respond to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking on STCC.
Partners include the YWCA of Western Massachusetts, the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office, Community Legal Aid and the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts.
