STCC programs recognized for quality, affordability by College Factual
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Several of Springfield Technical Community College’s programs were recognized as top tier in a wide-ranging ranking list for 2022 by College Factual, a data analytics website.
According to College Factual listed ranking highlights for STCC, including quality and affordability. In total, STCC was awarded 84 badges in the 2022 rankings. The highest ranked major is mechanical engineering technology.
Some of the other top rankings for STCC in specific categories include:
- Computer and IT Security: Most focused (No. 1 out of 13)
- Health Information Technology: Best value (No. 1 out of 7)
- Mechanical Engineering Technology: Best Value (No. 1 out of 9)
- Engineering Technology: Best value (No. 1 out of 10)
College Factual ranked STCC as No. 1 for “best general business/commerce associate degree schools” in Massachusetts and No. 2 in New England.
Other STCC programs that stood out include fire protection and safety technology, medical coding and billing, and dental hygiene.
College Factual placed STCC as a top 10 percent school for overall value in the New England region.

College Factual analyzes more than 2,000 colleges and universities in its annual rankings and ranks them in a variety of ways, including most diverse, best overall quality, best for nontraditional students and more.
The rankings use numerous indicators of quality in its analysis including student graduation rate, student debt, and repayment rates, and graduate employment rates and earnings. Schools scoring in the top 15 percent of those analyzed are recognized.
