STCC Ovations series to feature Blues to Green
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Ovations Educational and Cultural Event Series at Springfield Technical Community College will feature the organization Blues to Green as its second event of the spring semester.
The free event will be held April 12 at 10:10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. in Scibelli Theater, Scibelli Hall.
Blues to Green is a nonprofit organization devoted to using music to bring people together to build a more equitable and sustainable world.
Founded by Kristin Neville, Blues to Green features Kristin's husband, Charles Neville, a founding member of the legendary Neville Brothers Band.
Known as the “New Orleans First Family of Funk,” the Neville Brothers have won multiple Grammy Awards, and have performed worldwide. Locally, Charles Neville has performed throughout the Pioneer Valley, including at the Springfield Jazz Festival in the summer of 2016.
As part of the presentation, Charles Neville will be performing with his son, Khalif.
