STCC invites businesses to join Dec. 8 career and transfer fair
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Springfield Technical Community College will host a Back to Business Career & Transfer Fair on Dec. 8 with area employers seeking to attract and retain employees.
“We are thrilled to host this fall’s career and transfer fair,” said Dr. Shai Butler, Interim Vice President for Advancement & External Affairs. “This is a great opportunity for business in the region to connect with STCC students, alumni and friends who are searching for their next career move.”
Attendees also will have a chance to meet with representatives from four-year colleges and universities who can discuss transfer opportunities.
Employers are invited to contact STCC to participate. Employers can purchase a sponsorship, which includes premier placement at the event, a company feature on the Career Fair + app and social media channels. The $1,000 sponsorship includes a vendor table and four keynote event tickets.
STCC also is offering an opportunity for corporate and nonprofit partnership, which includes a vendor table and two keynote event tickets. The cost is $500 for corporate partners and $250 for nonprofit partners.

“We encourage employers to register as soon as possible, since employer space is limited,” said Kelly Galanis, director of Operations and Donor Relations for the STCC Foundation.
Jennifer Brown, president of the STCC Foundation Board of Directors and senior business manager at United Personnel, a division of Masis Staffing Solutions described the career fair as a great opportunity for employers.

The Career and Transfer Fair kicks off with a breakfast featuring keynote speaker Jason Young, author of “The Culturetopia Effect.” STCC is hosting the event on campus in the Ira H. Rubenzahl Student Learning Commons (Building 19).
The event schedule is as follows:
- 8:30 a.m.-10 a.m.: Breakfast featuring keynote address; Top of Our City, 7th Floor, Scibelli Hall (Building 2)
- 10 a.m.-11 a.m.: Employer table setup; Student Learning Commons
- 11 a.m.-3 p.m.: Career and Transfer Fair; Student Learning Commons
