Recharge Massachusetts partners with STCC to showcase electric vehicles, careers
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Recharge Massachusetts will hold a "Recharging Careers and a Clean Future for Western Mass." event Oct. 19 at Springfield Technical Community College.
This event which is free and open to the public aims to propel the community toward the future of electric vehicles (EVs) and electrification careers. Recharge Massachusetts has partnered with STCC to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles and showcase the career opportunities in the electrification sector. The event will include a STEM-focused career fair and family event.
The initiative aims to spark interest and foster community engagement in sustainable energy solutions while connecting attendees with career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.

What You Can Expect:
- EV Test Drives and Showcase: Attendees will have the opportunity to test drive the latest EVs from local dealerships. Book an EV test drive in advance by visiting stcc.io/testdrive.
- E-Bike Test Rides: E-bikes will be available for test rides, giving participants a chance to experience another sustainable mode of transportation.
- STEM and More Career Fair: This on-campus career fair will highlight companies focused on STEM from Springfield and throughout Western Massachusetts. Participating companies will host information sessions, workshops and even conduct job and internship interviews. With a variety of personal and professional development seminars, attendees will get valuable insights into leadership, science and technology.
- Family Science Day: Science edutainer Mike Davis will captivate audiences with awe-inspiring science demonstrations and fun facts. Between shows, there will be hands-on science activities for all ages.
- Interactive Exhibits and More: The event will feature interactive exhibits from local and regional organizations showcasing the latest advancements in clean energy and sustainability. The event will also include a selection of food trucks to ensure a fun, engaging atmosphere for all attendees.
Recharge America’s National Program Director Stephanie Dorman said "Recharging Careers and a Clean Future for Western Mass" embodies Massachusetts’ commitment to advancing the adoption of EVs and sustainable energy.
