Help STCC support students, transform lives
For the last few weeks here at Springfield Technical Community College we’ve been doing everything we can to respond accordingly to the Covid-19 pandemic. We are transitioning to remote learning, providing Chromebooks and WiFi hotspots for students and increased access to necessary support services for our entire community. We know an unexpected break in our students' studies may have a negative impact on their ability to transform their lives. We’re doing our best to ensure our students stay connected with their professors and the services provided by the College.
Now more than ever STCC is proud to be at the forefront of technical education. From healthcare workers on the frontlines and manufacturers and engineers behind the scenes are desperately needed to get us through this crisis. We are committed to preparing our students with a quality education for situations such as this, when unexpected emergencies take over life as we know it.
STCC Foundation Board member Kevin Hinchey, who serves as the Chief Education Officer at UMass Medical Baystate campus, shares his experiences hiring and working with STCC students. Please take a moment to view his video by clicking here.
Given the financial impact Covid-19 has had on the world, we anticipate an increase in the number of requests to the STCC Foundation this semester. Please consider making a gift today that will allow us to further assist students as they transform their lives. I thank you in advance for your consideration.
"I am amazed by our team at Springfield Technical Community College. Everyone has stepped up to the challenge as we walk into this uncharted territory," says STCC Vice President of Advancement and External Affairs Denise Hurst. "Thank you for staying with us during this unique time. STCC students deserve every opportunity to transform their lives and because of you, they’ll receive it."
