Deadline extended for ‘Here and Now: Springfield’ exhibition
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Amy H. Carberry Fine Arts Gallery on the campus of the Springfield Technical Community College seeks artists and photographers living in Springfield working in all mediums to apply for consideration to a special juried group exhibition called “Here and Now: Springfield.” This exhibit will be juried and curated by STCC fine arts students and the gallery director of the Carberry Gallery and on view from September to October 2024.

This opportunity is free and open to artists and photographers currently living in Springfield, Mass. “Here and Now: Springfield” is an exhibit celebrating artists and photographers living in Springfield and prioritizes work of the highest artistic merit in any medium. The artwork submitted will be evaluated by STCC fine arts students on artistic excellence, feasibility and relevance to the exhibition.
Any artist or photographer currently living in Springfield, Mass., is eligible to apply for this STCC student-juried exhibition opportunity with artwork created from 2020 to the present. Submissions must include a short artist narrative (500 words max); a short, 1-paragraph bio of artist/photographer; and at least 1 (but no more than 5) works of art created since 2020.
All two and three-dimensional media in any style (abstract, conceptual, representational, etc.) as well as film/video/audio will be considered. Artists chosen for this exhibition will deliver selected artwork to the gallery for this show in late August.
Final decisions will be announced by July 15, 2024.

About the Gallery
The Amy H. Carberry Fine Arts Gallery presents six exhibits each year featuring artwork by artists of local and national repute, as well as STCC student work. The gallery, in the fine arts building in B28 on the campus of Springfield Technical Community College (Pearl Street side of campus) in Springfield, Mass, is closed until September 2024.
The gallery and all events are free to the public.
