Annual drag show scheduled for April 6 at STCC
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – One of Springfield Technical Community College’s student clubs will hold its annual drag show on Friday, April 6, in the Scibelli Hall Theater.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show will start at 7 p.m. The public is invited to the event, billed as “The Great Gatsby.” The show’s theme is “The Roaring Twenties.” Tickets, which cost $5, can be purchased at the door.
For the third year in a row, Tytannia Lockhart will serve as emcee at the show, which is sponsored by The Imperial Court of Western Massachusetts, an LGBTQA fundraising organization.
Proceeds from the ninth annual drag show will help pay for activities for the Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgendered Alliance Club, which was created to raise awareness about social and legal inequities facing the GLBT community.
The show on Friday will feature drag performers from throughout Western Massachusetts.
