Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) celebrates achievements by women leaders with a virtual tea series called “We the Women.”

Featuring local speakers, We the Women discusses women’s careers, accomplishments, and the barriers they face. Viewers are encouraged to enjoy a cup of tea while watching the presentations.

Shirley Arriaga Shirley Arriaga won the Democratic Nomination for state representative (8th Hampden District). An STCC alumna, Shirley Arriaga served in the U.S. Air Force during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. She worked as Veterans Liaison for Congressman Richard E. Neal.  She lives in Chicopee with her 8-year-old daughter. 10/12/22  
Darleen Buttrick Darleen Buttrick, the Director of Engineering and Capital Projects for the Springfield Water and Sewer Commission, an independent public water utility serving 250,000 people in the Lower Pioneer Valley.
