STCC to host documentary screening and panel discussion

In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) will host a free public screening of the documentary film “The Hunting Ground” on Wednesday, May 4 from 3:00-4:45 p.m. followed by dinner and a panel discussion from 4:45-6:00 p.m. in Scibelli Hall, Building 2, Room 703/704.

Charlie Baker recently announced Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) as the recipient of a $499,785 workforce skills grant to expand its laser electro-optics technology and mechanical engineering technology programs to address the workforce needs of the advanced manufacturing industry which relies on the precision machining achieved by the use of lasers.

“Playscapes” exhibit at STCC to feature local female artists

The Amy H. Carberry Fine Arts Gallery, located on the Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) campus, will showcase the artwork of four local female artists in the exhibit “Playscapes,” set to run Tuesday, March 8 through Saturday, April 9. A reception for the exhibiting artists and the curator will be held on Tuesday, March 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. A curator’s talk will be held on Saturday, April 2 from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All events are free and open to the public.
